Top 7 Trade Show Giveaways that Will Make People Stop at Your Booth

Posted on 06/30/14 in Trade Show
Trade Show GiveawaysReserving a booth at a trade show is a bold business decision. This will pave the way to a higher profile in your industry.

But if you really want to make a splash at that industry event, it's time to develop an exhibit that will grab - and maintain - the attention of every passing attendee. Effective trade show booths incorporate impeccable design and branding to draw potential clients, investors, and other visitors. In most cases, they also include trade show giveaways.

7 Spectacular Swag Items for Your Next Trade Show

Giveaways, also known as "swag," are a major draw at industry events. With various product choices and designs, they offer the opportunity to spread your brand beyond the confines of the convention center.

The goal of a good giveaway should be the recipient not throwing it away within minutes - or even days - of receiving it. To achieve that, select swag people will actually want to use, including:

  1. Care packages. Provide a bag or box of branded items attendees might need in a pinch, such as first-aid products, sewing kits, or stain remover pens.
  2. T-shirts. To make the highest impact with logo apparel, choose products with quality fit and construction. If design isn't your strong suit, hire a graphic designer to create edgy and appealing artwork.
  3. Digital downloads. For attendees that prefer not to carry items around, display a QR code to a free eBook or an online coupon for your product or service.
  4. Industry-specific swag. Whatever your industry, creating branded items that you know peers can use shows your company is relevant and ready to meet their needs. For instance, those in the automotive industry could give out emergency car kits or automotive products.
  5. Seasonal items. Is it sweltering outside? Pouring rain? Blasting snow? Whatever the weather, items such as umbrellas, sunglasses, and ski hats will result in grateful guests that remember your brand.
  6. Totes. If you've ever walked around at a convention with handfuls of giveaways, wishing you had somewhere to put all of them, you understand why a branded tote is a genius bit of swag.
  7. Samples. Remember, you're at a trade show to promote your product, so if you have small samples available, go for it!

Although by no means exhaustive, this list should contain at least one item that will make your trade show booth a hit. Stock your table with impressive swag, and visitors will remember you long after the event is over.
